A day to slow down, sip deeply, and feel Marlborough’s rhythm.

Step aboard our lovingly restored horse-drawn carriage for a journey through Renwick’s most soulful stops. This isn’t a tour in the usual sense — it’s an unhurried adventure that unfolds at the pace of our gentle Clydesdale, Duchess, whose steady stride sets the tone for the day.

The carriage seats a maximum of four guests, keeping every experience personal and relaxed. Tastings are guided and generous, with around 45–60 minutes at each stop, and lunch includes wine pairings and dietary options.

No rushing, no crowds — just open air, conversation, and a sense that time is on your side.

First

Our horse-drawn journey begins with a saunter to either Bladen for the first tasting of the day.

Cheese, grapes, strawberries, pickles, crackers, and assorted cured meats on a cheese board with a sprig of parsley.

Then

For lunch, we’ll linger at Forrest for a tasting and an elaborate antipasti platter made with local products.

Lastly

As the afternoon eases in, we’ll make our way to Framingham for the last tastings of the day.

Full-day tour includes:

  • Transfers from Blenheim to the start point and return

  • Carriage ride between boutique, family-owned wineries

  • Guided tastings at each winery

  • Antipasti platter with matching wines for lunch

  • Insightful commentary on Marlborough’s creative, experimental viticulture

  • Cold, bottled water—sparkling and flat

Tour timings:

The full-day tours operate Thursday - Sunday.

Pick up is approximately 09:30 from Blenheim and 17:00 return. Exact timings will be confirmed prior to your tour.

Tour pricing:
$390+gst NZD per person.

Note: With four seats on the carriage, you’ll likely be sharing the ride with other guests. Maximum weight per guest is 110kg (242lb). This includes luggage to ensure the safety of Duchess. If you’re booked as a solo traveller, we’ll confirm 24h in advance whether the tour will run as we require a minimum of two guests to proceed.
